Portraits in the Village
During my time at the village I was able to do quite a few portaits of the students and get to know them pretty well.
Two weeks in the village
For the past two weeks I have been living in a village one hour outside of Phnom Penh called Kampong Speu. It was a once in a lifetime experience that I will always remember. I loved living at the ministry, learning to cook things, fending off frogs and being away from technology for a while.
I was able to build close relationships with a few of the girls and mentor them for a while. They all have such amazing dreams and so much motivation to overcome their situation in life. We did a lot of the same things that we have been doing like teaching English, doing bible studies, playing games and leading worship. During our time there our leaders left us for a week and let us take turns leading the team-- I really enjoyed it. So far I would say that this has been my favorite experience in my DTS outreach.

More Portraits in the Red Light District
Today my team and I once again went to the red light district to lighten the atmosphere through music and art. It was very busy because of Chinese New Year so there where a lot of people to paint. I was able to talk to more families and the men that where in the area. I have really been enjoying this ministry and the people I have been able to meet. I also spent some time teaching random English words and face drawing to some street kids. Birthday well spent :)
Happy Chinese New Year!
Went to a Chinese New Year Celebration outside the palace gates. Made some friends with the dragon performers and enjoyed some early morning coffee/sunrise :)
