Phnom Penh!

Last night we arrived in Phnom Penh and we got to tour the city today. We learned a lot about Cambodian culture through our cultural orientation then we saw history with our own eyes at several UNESCO world heritage cites around the area.
We went to the genocide museum and the S-21 prison where 20,000 people were mass murdered during the Khmer Rouge era. I think it's important to see these places and understand the cultural implications of these violent events. The Khmer Rouge communist rule only happened 30 years ago, I learned about Pol Pot in high school but seeing it was so much more heavy.
